He transitioned from a rarely-used backup to a primary running back, which makes it hard to bench him despite some inefficiencies. Over the last three weeks, he ranks as the RB3 in total expected points (48.9) while being the RB109 in FPOE (-6.0).

In total fantasy points during that span, only 11 running backs have scored more than Mattison, who has garnered 42.9 PPR points (14.3 points per game). Those who overlooked Mattison during the offseason are now regretting it, as he’s currently treated as the sole running back capable of advancing the ball in Las Vegas.

He played a significant role, and with upcoming matchups, Tillman could be primed for more opportunities.
